| President | Bill Borchers | |
| Vice President | Bill Beacham | I grew up in Baltimore Maryland before attending college at the University of Hartford. I have been an electrical design engineer at Hamilton Sundstrand since graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering in 1979. After my son briefly choked on grapes in 1990, I enrolled in an MRT class to acquire some first aide knowledge. After passing the class I joined the SVAA. Shortly thereafter, I successfully passed the EMT class at Asnuntuck Community College and have been providing care for patients on a regular basis ever since. I recently received my Masters Degree in Computer Science from RPI in Hartford and teach evening classes in the Computer Science Department at the University of Hartford. I enjoy building and programming computers, riding motorcycles, writing programs for the Palm Pilot, RC airplanes and playing guitar (just learning). |
| Secretary | Jeanine Rose | I have been a member of the Board of Directors since 1999. I have been a provider member of the SVAA since 1997 and an EMT since 1987. Suffield in 2001. We have three children, Meaghan 8, Michael 7, and Jack
6. I am the owner of H.A.R.P. Mechanical, a heating and cooling company
in Windsor Locks since 1992. I grew up in Windsor Locks and moved to Windsor in 1987. I have been a member of the Jaycees for 10 years with two years as president. I have worked with the Special Olympics and Windsor special education basketball. I served on the Board of Directors for the Windsor Locks Federal Credit Union for three years. I am currently involved in coaching in Suffield Parks and Recreation programs and a member of both the Windsor and Windsor Locks Chamber of Commerce. |
| Director | Lawrence Peters, MD, PhD | I have lived in Suffield since 1993 with my wife, Sally, and now our children, Jack and Gloria. My work is currently at Providence Hospital in Holyoke, where I am a psychiatrist working with adult inpatients. For a number of years previously I had an office practice in Enfield and admitted at Johnson Memorial Hospital. My psychiatric training was at New York University Medical Center. Afterward I was a Research Psychiatrist at the New York State Psychiatric Institute (Columbia University). Through the years I have worked with emergency medical personnel in a variety of contexts. I have been very impressed with the training and professionalism of the SVAA staff and with the organization and planning of its administration. I believe Suffield is very fortunate in having a first-rate ambulance service. |
