If you have an emergency, always call 911. We are dispatched by the Police Department after they receive a 911 medical call. The dispatchers are also trained to automatically request additional support personnal depending on the nature of the emergency.
The SVAA holds a Mobile Open House several times a year. We bring out one of the ambulances, the Officers Car,
and other support equipment so that you can see what we do and how we do it. This is a great opportunity for children
to become familiar with the SVAA so that they understand what is happening if your family ever needs us. The experience
provides the children with another "tool" for their "toolbox" to help contend with life. Of
course, you are always welcome to call the Association at the above number or just stop in for a tour of our building
and ambulance. The technicians on duty are more than happy to give your children a tour of the equipment, explain
what it is for, and give them a chance to touch and handle the equipment. If a driver happens to be at the station,
the kids might even get a light show....
